There has been knitting
The yarn cake: product of the ball winder I finally decided to buy. Its amazing. Why didn't I get one before? Not only has there been ball winding, but there has been knitting. This is partly because I realised how close Christmas is, and partly because I took a few days off cycling to work*, thus opening up bus-journey time for the knit. The links below are to ravelry.
* The pause in cycling due to being HIT BY A CAR last week. Driver decided to illegally turn left and not look before he did it. Clever. I was very lucky, a few bruises, and the bike seems equally unscathed. I got straight back on the saddle, and have cycled into town several days since then, but I was a bit shaken up and stiff to manage every day.

You poor poor thing. Evil car drivers (can say this with confidence now my car has been scrapped!) Arnica is very good for bruising but hope you can get back on your bike soon. I am loving the robot hat, will investigate details on Ravelry further!! Lets have tea soon and give my love to K. xxx
Glad to hear you are okay. Crazy drivers!
OUCH. Sounds like you scraped by. Love the socks.
I feel your pain! The same thing happened to me two summers ago and I knocked my right arm out of its socket and broke two toes. That was a nightmare. The knitting looks great, though! I really need to learn intarsia so that I can make things with robots on them.
I'm glad you weren't hurt! And that you were able to get right back on the bike and carry on. I was hit by a car taking a left turn in March (as a pedestrian) and it took me *months* to want to ride my bike anywhere near a car. And I'm still a little frightened of turning cars!
Also, that robot hat is the cutest - I love it!
Ouch! Sounds like a few days of knitting on the bus is the perfect way of recuperating :o)
OH MY GOSH! Thank god you're okay! I can imagine how shaken up you must be. Stupid people!!!
omg! you got hit by a car?! i'm so glad you're ok.
those robot socks are going to be so awesome, i know it.
Oh no! I am glad to hear that you and your bike were not seriously hurt. Stupid drivers.
My sister bought me a ball winder and swift for my birthday. It has changed my life :)
that's a fabulous color. I hope you're all right after the little car-bike scuffle!
Ouch! I hope you're recovering well. Anyone who regularly cycles in London deserves a medal for bravery.
I like the socks!
Hit by a car? That's terrible. I'm so sorry to hear that- it must have been scary.
Also, hell yes robots.
How scary that you got hit by a car! Glad to hear you're all right.
Love the robots :)
Is it weird that I was able to identify that yarn as Dream in Color within a split second of clicking on to your blog??
It's all erroneous the thing you are saying.
