Magknits patterns

As some of you might know, Magknits has been taken off-line. Including my Bakerloo and Rosalind patterns. I will try to put them up soon (at least as ravelry downloads), but I am very busy at the moment. I have a day off on Sunday, but its my birthday, so I was planning on doing other things.

So please bear with me. I'm doing this for free. I had no notice of this - the first I heard of it was a blog comment this morning. At which point I checked out the threads on ravelry and well, let's not get pulled into that particular mess. Magknits is gone, we're all sorting replacements, some have time to do it quicker than others. End.

If you want Bakerloo, there's a similar pattern here. If you want Rosalind, the chart's written out in knitting language here. You can cross-reference that with a standard illusion knit pattern (use a search engine). You can still get the patterns, without images, through google's cache or the wayback machine. If you have some kind of crazy knitting emergency where you need the pattern now, email me (address in the knitty patterns) and I'll see what I can do.

I wonder why the site was taken down so quick?... It would've been helpful if we could've had a week or so to copy patterns! I hope you manage to get all your patterns and put them up on Ravelry :)
Have fun on your birthday!!

I am seriously out of the loop. I hadn't heard about Magknits going down yet.

Well for those that in to Internet drama there is a fairly extensive discussion of the Magknits/Hipknits fiasco over on the Ravelry 'Needlework on the Net' board...

You should rest, things sound so hectic right now. People will still access the pattern on google's cache. People should be able to wait, it is a *free* pattern after all.

Happy birthday for tomorrow!!

Hi
I saw those socks that looked like piano. Do not remember what the name was for them, something with the letter B. I don't understand all that you write about how I can get the pattern for them so I wonder if there is any possibility that you can email the pattern to med, some day. I was very curious to begin doing them.

Greetings from Elin in Sweden

Happy birthday! If you have time (which you probably don't, at least until the pattern situation is taken care of) I tagged you for a meme.

also emailed to truckerelin:

Its Bakerloo you want. The pattern doesn't tell you how to do the piano, just make sockst that are sideways.

Use the wayback machine (google it) and type in: http://magknits.com/July06/bakerloo.htm

That'll get you old versions (without the pictures) of the pattern. Sorry, I don't have a copy of the pattern right now, and I don't have time to convert it for you. Ask a friend if you have problems using that site.

p.s. You can also just wait a few weeks, and it'll be up on my website.

The advertisement is good but I don't know why people always use the silver color to convey or represent something that has to do with aliens or something unusual, I think you really understand my point but we can't ignore this reality.
