squirrely top-down raglan

squirrely top

So, it needs a block. And buttons. And, er, to have the ends woven in*. But this is done and I love it and I'm too excited to put off posting. Plus I'm about to go on holiday till the weekend. It's for a baby. A tiny top-down raglan, made with leftovers (and based on the pattern for) these mittens.

squirrely back close up

*Though only a few because I was good and did them while I worked.

Love it!

However, don't show the Yarn Harlot that... she'll freak, what with her squirrel-theif back again!

Darling! It reminds me of a sweater you might have seen on a child in the 1940's. :)

I am fasinated by your thesis. The baby sweater is also lovely, but as an infant teacher my interests tend to lay more with children's books than their clothes. My sister (Webbo) looks lovely in the Ester shrug and don't let her fool you- she is baby sized!

i've just stopped by to check out who's next to me in the academics knit blogring -- you are seriously prolific, at least if the last few weeks' postings are representative. I'm getting caught up in baby sweaters lately, thanks to the yarn harlot and her temptations -- this squirrel one is very, very cute! (there's a fabulous one at the panopticon right now as well, with all sorts of pond critters)
btw, your thesis research looks fascinating -- very cool approach to Children's Lit
one more thing apropos of your post on colour-- we used to say "blue and green should never be seen, not even in the washing machine" -- if you ever have a peek at my new blog, you'll see by my fo's that I obviously long outgrew that advice
